I think the idea of a teaser trailer is very good for the film company and its popularity. I would say that teaser trailers do increase the audiences for films because they make the film known and heard about long before it is released. However, if the trailer produces no excitement but flashes some shots of the film this could make the film look boring and so decrease its predicted audience. A teaser trailer therefore is only successful if it shows drama and excitement within the film shots because with out this the film could be portrayed differently than expected.
