Safe Haven

The sound and music aspects of this trailer apply very much to the genre of the film. The music played in the background of most of the scenes are romantic and calming, suggesting the film will have elements of romance and drama involved. There is no narration to the trailer to explain what will happen in the film but however there is the speech of dialogue between characters, the dialogue subjects changes as it differs from scene to scene. These pieces of dialogue create the stories plot for example "i've had things happen to me in the past" this suggests a dramatic twist to the film, attracting the audience to come and watch the film to find out the twist. 

The characters chosen for introduction within the trailer is mainly a man and woman. This not only introduces the main characters and therefore could widen the audience to both genders, but it also hints at the films plot line. The suggestion of romance will attract the films specific target audience. There is also an introduction to an unknown character who they refer to as 'he'. This creates suspense and tension for the viewers and will again attract the audience to view the film. This is because it shows an obstacle in their relationship, making the viewers want to know more about this man and why he is so heard about and scary.

The dark clothes the girl wears at the beginning of the piece when she is alone juxstaposes with the lightly colours bright clothing she wears when around and in contact with the man. This again could hint at the genre to the piece showing that she is happier when with him, making an audience want to know why she was unhappy and upset beforehand. 

The titles within the piece also have a significance; The trailer beginnings with the introduction to the title of the film "SAFE HAVEN FROM NICOLAS SPARKS BEST SELLING AUTHOR OF THE NOTEBOOK AND DEAR JOHN" this directs all readers of Nicolas Sparks and so targets their audiences. The best selling also will attract viewers because they known the story-line to the piece is voted very high by others. "THIS FEBRUARY" allows audience to remember to go and see the film when it comes out. At the end of the trailer again the title of the film is shown so it is known to the audience and they remember the name clearly. It also repeats again that it will be around for showing in February.
